“We think it’s a much more convenient and friendlier and less expensive way than towing vehicles,” Kris Glenn, the Director of Parking and Transportation said.

Can I just buy one to fuck with people that deserve it. I'd just use it on one guys car. Over and over and over and over. Lol. I promise that douche deserves it.

Cheaper to just core out his tire valve.

That’s okay. It’s effectively a bump for the after lunch crowd so we can keep discussing the stupidity.

He's the ass kisser at work that makes things up about people when he has nothing to talk about. He deserves a barnacle or twenty

Yes, bored workday outrage culture demands it.

He could fix that though. The temper tantrum when he keeps getting barnacled would be way more satisfying

Jeep owners laugh

Maybe a 1/8" hole, listen for the sucking sound of the vacuum escaping, toss the barnacle aside and drive off.

Those jerks gave me a ticket when I was there interviewing for a position on the faculty.

Were you somehow parked illegally or in violation of some signage?

Interesting how the window goes down but the pillars remain. A friend had a Jeep in the late 80s where the whole thing went down. We tried driving with it down but the wind was unbearable.

My dad was visiting U Michigan and unknowingly parked illegally. He tossed the ticket, only to find a charge on his credit card for the fine.

Think that’s a safety change with the JLs. The JKs still had the whole windscreen come down.
![]() 01/16/2020 at 17:15 |

Or better, keep it, modify it so you can apply it and remove it at will, then apply it to your car every time you park illegally.

Ooh, that’s a clever plan! Original to you?
Also, is that a Significant Other looking over your shoulder in your avatar image?

That’s new with the JL, though putting the whole windshield frame down on the JK was apparently pretty annoying to do, and it didn’t sit flat due to the curved glass.
At any rate, the point of folding the windshield was supposed to be to reduce the height of the vehicle, which is pointless with a roll cage.

Nah, I stole it off actual city dwellers. Some people in Chicago even boot their own cars and put old/fake tickets under their windows to fool parking enforcement.
And yes! That’s my new copilot in adventure!

Nope. There were empty parking spots next to the administration building , and I thought “yay for me, empty parking spots!” But they were telepathically reserved for construction access. No signs or cones or tape or anything. I think I just parked there too early in the morning before the construction guys showed up to cordon it off. I ended up taking the position, and averaged one ticket every 2-3 years while there. TWICE I got a ticket for parking in my reserved spot in a car I bought the day before, even though I kept my parking tag and put it in the window ... I guess they actually cross-checked plates with parking spots. Fascists.

kick the windscreen out, problem solved
